I LOVE painting artworks that will be sentimental to you forever.
As you know, I quite like flowers. So what better combination of florals and sentiment, than the flowers and love that surrounded your special day!
The process once I have a good high resolution photo is...Studying the arrangements and taking in all the details - the different types of flowers and leaves, the colours, the depth, and the composition. To then getting out the right paint, turning up the music and letting the art and your special florals come to life in a new, semi abstract way.
I don't want to create a painting that looks just like your bouquet photo. I want to create something new that has new energy, and celebrates your day in a new way that will last a lifetime.
This would also be a beautiful wedding day gift. If you know someone engaged, then wouldn't a gift voucher to spend on a commissioned piece be so special? A group of friends could pitch in together perhaps? Or if you are a bride, put it on your registry.
And then there's wedding anniversaries !..... Year one is 'paper'. How cool would a painting on thick beautiful watercolour paper be!
